Kate Hoeting (MTS 2021) I’m a second year MTS student with an area of focus in Women, Gender, and Sexuality, and I’m so excited to virtually meet you all! At HDS, I primarily study the role of religion in reproductive healthcare, especially pro-choice religious movements and activists. I am an abortion doula who has supported people in-clinic during the procedure, so blurring the lines between research and activism has been an important part of my HDS experience. I’m also interested in the ways that non-religious people like myself engage with religious ritual. In my free time, I like to hike, bullet journal, and play the banjo.
