Meet the Admissions Graduate Assistants

Kate Hoeting (MTS 2021) I’m a second year MTS student with an area of focus in Women, Gender, and Sexuality, and I’m so excited to virtually meet you all! At HDS, I primarily study the role of religion in reproductive healthcare, especially pro-choice religious movements and activists. I am an abortion doula who has supported people in-clinic during the procedure, so blurring the lines between research and activism has been an important part of my HDS experience. I’m also interested in the ways that non-religious people like myself engage with religious ritual. In my free time, I like to hike, bullet journal, and play the banjo.

Jessica Cantos (EdM 2021)

Jessica Cantos is a Graduate Assistant at the Harvard Divinity School Admissions Office. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and earned a BA from Dartmouth College in 2018. Jessica is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Higher Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After graduating, she plans to work in student affairs and find ways to make higher education more accessible to students from underserved communities. When she is not in class or working, Jessica loves to spend time with her dog, Luigi.
